We drove up to Eungella from Rockhampton (after my last exam at uni forever!) on Friday arvo and left at 2pm. We got there eventually, after we waited for a crash on the highway to be cleared and my dubious navigation skills delayed us well! Our cabin was really good and we had a great view from the balcony. The wood fireplace inside was great to ward off the chilly nights. After a couple of drinks, we hit the hay early to get up and to have a look at the playtapus. We weren't disapointed and we saw one a couple of times, although it wasn't at the surface for long enough for a photo. After some breakfast we headed of off on the Crediton Creek Track. We had the river at our side, walking from rainforest gullies up to rocky ridges covered in drier vine forest.
