We had breakfast in Little Haven, which is a quaint village close to where we camped, and then I achieved something I've been attempting pretty much since I got here.

After a number of trips to the coast (from Brigton to Essex to Devon) I finally managed a (rather weak) surf. The weather was appaling but that really didn't phase me. The actual surf wasn't much better and that's a little more difficult to ignore, but at least I got went. Alison and our fellow travellers (John and Dom) went for a coffee in a pub close by while I was in the water. Check out my very cool Bic surfboard (yes, the same make as the pen manufacturer).
