Bonito is a small little town around 15 000 people with lots to do, its a tourist destination for Brazilians and we got here the day high season started so everybody put up there prices by 25%.
First of all we went snorkeling in the river Sucre, this has the highest clarity water in the world (Apparently) it was quite nice but not what you would call a must see.
The next day we went to Rio de Plate (rio means river) for more snorkeling, this was a must see, there were fish everywhere, and lots of deferent types and they are so used to people you can actually go up and touch them. we rented an underwater camera for the day and had lots of fun with that.
The last thing we did in Bonito was the Abbeys, its a 72m repel into an underwater cavern, then a boat ride and snorkel down the bottom. It looked like a Science fiction movie with 19m underwater stalagmites (the largest underwater stalagmites in the world) and millions of stalactites hanging down from the roof. But the hard part of the day was getting back up , you had to climb up the 72m using a harness and a lot of sweeting.
