Blue mountains are located at west of Sydney and can be easily accessed by a 3-hour train trip from Sydney central station.
A few small towns sit in blue mountains like coastal lines. The biggest station is called Katoomba which is accessible to many sites such as three sisters, edge cinema, bushwalking, and etc. It feels very damp and wet in Blue mountains somehow like tropical climate which is very rare in dry australia. It is said that a extinct plant was found many years ago but was still kept private by australian government. There are also lots animals like Koalas and cockatoos etc. The paths are built for bush-walkers which is quite convenient. and people can go camping and climbing as well. If tourists want to save money, they can also choose backpackers hostels.
