Today we drove from Saas Fee to Bissone, Via Italy, the plann was to go from Saas Fee to some thermal springs and then onto Bissone but with a few kilometers to go before we got to the pools we realised that the bag with Nicole swimmers and our towels was still sitting in our room back in Saas Fee. So we drove back and picked up the clothes and then drove to Italy. So I can now say I have been to Italy but have no proof as the did not stop us, check passports or anything, very relaxed. They are crazy drivers and the roads are just wide enough for 2 goats let alone 2 cars, but they still try and drive at 80km/hr on these windy roads.
Once through Italy we returned to Switzerland, the Italian section. We checked into our motel and then went into town for dinner, real italian food (Steak with chips and vegies). In my defence I had Pizza and Rissotto in Saas Fee, I needed a real meal.
The next day was overcast and a fog had set in over the lake for the morning, once it had lifted we went exploring the town, that took all of 30 minutes (not real big) and had some lunch (Pizza). At this time of the year it is Carnival time for Switzerland and everyone gets dressed up and there is much music and confetti, just ask Nicole how confetti tastes and feels every were. She provoked someone in the parade in Saas Fee and 2 of them gave her a good dose. But today was for the kids of Bissone so they were all dressed up, letting off fire crackers and squarting that noodle foam all over the place. So we left them to it and ventured up to the park. Not what we were expecting, so we returned to our room and watched the winter championships.
Tonights dinner was real Italian, Gnocci (home made), we wanted Lasagnae but surprisingly it was not on any of the menus.
