UGHHHH Backtracking is sooooooooooooo annoying.   24 freaking hours on the stupid train!!!!!  And the train was soooo cold.  BUT - staying with Girish's uncle was awesome.  Auntie made the BEST food, I got my fill of wine and espresso and have never felt more full in my life.  I also slept for an entire day - literally an entire day.  That was amazing.  Biarritz is a surfer's paradise and still somewhat untouched by backpackers, which makes it really cool.  BUT - no surfing lessons for me, it was a bit cold and there was no way I was giong into the water in 60 degree weather, I dont care if I grew up in New Hampshire.

Ok onto the "travel" stuff - Biarritz is absolutely gorgeous, a popular surfer town on the Atlantic coast about 30 km from Spain. Biarritz is part of the Basque region, one of the oldest regions and cultures in Europe.  Uncle and Auntie have the views of the Pyrenees and then the Atlantic in their backyard.  The chili peppers with chocolate (believe me, its actually good).  The french are also fabulously kind in the Basque region as well.

Overall, I really loved France...and now Im off to Paris, because I just haven't gotten enough.  But can you ever, really?
