Review of Sunflower Hostel

We found the Sunflower Hostel very simple and basic, but with fun twists, friendly staff, offbeat clientele and bizarre wall murals. There was good attention to hygeine and politeness; a bar open 24 hrs a day, cheap Internet access and lots of travel guides, maps and brochures. It is not for the traveler accustomed to four-star accomodations, but if saving money is important to you, and you're comfortable with hippies, young folks and grittier neighborhhods, you'll be quite at home here. Foosball tables are also available. It's in the near part of old East Berlin and quite convenient to the S-Bahn and U-Bahn as well as Ostbahnhof.
