We flew from Gatwick to Bergen and arrived late in the evening. We were due to transfer to our cruise ship the next day at 17.30 so we had nearly a full day to explore and photograph the town.

There is plenty to see:

     1. The  harbour area and the Fisketorget [fish market].

     2. Bergenhus Castle and the Rosenkrantz Tower.

     3. The Bryggen district with its old wooden warehouses.

     4. The Floibanen funicular to the top of the nearby Floien mountain.

     5. The old wood Stavkirke at Fantoft.

     6. The open-air museum at Gamle Bergen
