I could have sworn I already wrote some stuff on this page, but it does not appear to be showing up.  So I am going to start again.

We woke up in Bateman's bay.  It is not the greatest little place.. more industrial than touristy.  The twins and ted ate giant Aussie burgers.. They take a regular burger.. add cheese... ham..and a fried egg.  If this does not remind you of a Simpson's episode.. it should.

We headed north with the plan of basically taking in as many beaches as possible.  Our first stop was Durras beach.  It had giant waves that we all played around in.  It was exactly what we were looking for.. never ending and almost to ourselves.  Chris led us on a long walk to some cliffs... but we abandoned half way because it was actually a lot further than estimated.  Why we still let Chris guide anything is beyond me..

We packed up and headed further up the coast.  After some mediocre Aussie meat pies we stopped at pebbly beach.  First... about meat pies.  They are everywhere here... they serve them outside bars, at rugby, on the beach.  Apparently the best way to eat them is with tomato sauce (read ketchup).  Anyways.. pebbly beach was unreal.  As we got out of the car.. a guy had all this bird seed and about a million birds that looked like parrots had swooped in.  They would sit on your arms.. hands.. even your head.  I was honestly afraid.  The beach had great waves and Victor and Ted tried out their body boards.  As it got dark we headed back to the cars and trekked to Nowra.  It is not much of a town, but we wanted to go to Jervis bay in the morning and nowhere else had any vacancy.  After eating dinner in a strange oriental restaurant we headed to bed early.  It was Easter Sunday...
