Today Mike and were true tourists in Barcelona. We managed to get up after only 3 hours of sleep and head out into the city. The cruise provided a shuttle from the port to "center city" for only 5 Euros. Thinking that was a good idea, we purchased the tickets. Waiting for the shuttle we learned that Europeans-particularly Italians do not know what a line is and all of them think that they should be the first people on the bus. After waiting through about 5 bus loads of rude Europeans we managed to get onto one of the shuttles. It wasn't until 5 minutes later when we realized the ship completely ripped everyone off because they dropped you off literally 5-10 minutes walking distance away from the port.

After all that stress we decided to take the bus tour of Barcelona where we could get on and off at whichever stops we wanted and explore the city. Again encountering the same rude people from the shuttle we finally go onto the tour bus and managed to get a set on the top deck. The city of Barcelona is very nice and very artistic. There are dozens of statues and pieces of art scattered all over the city. Everything was very colorful and lively. We got off at various shops to attempt shopping but basically just got back on the bus 15 minutes later when we realized that we couldn't find any of the stores that we had been looking for. Overall the bus tour was amazing! You get taken to the top of a hill outside of the city where you can look down on the entire city-absolutely amazing!

After almost 6 hours of riding around on a bus we found our way back to our "shuttle stop" and got a ride back to our port. Tonight was another fancy dress up night for the theatre activities that were going on so our entire group got all decked out to go to dinner. The waiters put on another performance for all of the guests and made dinner into a fun show.

PS-tonight I won 60 Euros in the casino :)
