We got up to another great breakfast in the hotel. And this time we remembered to carry a camera. As always, we checked out and left the luggage at the reception. Out flight was at 6, so there was going to be a lot of time before we had to leave for the airport.
The first desitination for the day was Murano. We missed it yesterday but there seemed to be a lot of interesting stuff to see, we wanted to see one of those glass furnaces and maybe also explore some of the other glass shops. The place was more abuzz than it was yesterday. The shops were more full of people and more shops were open. We got to see a few furnaces and a the making of a few small pieces. It was fun, the guys were friendly and one even agreed to take a minute off from molten glass and posed with us.
We got back to the main island and decided to use our Ferry passes for a ride around the place. There was Piazza Nova, the sea side street with a lof of outside seating cafes. It was a nice stroll and a good pizza meal. A quick lunch and we were walking back to the hotel, a little earlier than we had to. Since we had chosen to fly Ryan Air, the flight would not be from Venice airport, but from Treviso airport, which was about an hour away. A bus from very close to the hotel would take us straight there. Finally we saw some land transport in Venice. The airport was nice, small and quick. We relaxed a bit there since we got there a little early. The flight was small and full. The aircraft was a barebones piece, but we had to be in it only just over an hour. Once we landed we realized that the airport we were flying into was also about an hour outside of Barcelona. The Ryan Air ticket was soon becoming more of an experience than just a flight.
By the time we got to Barrcelona and our hotel, it was close to 10 in the night. But then from what we heard Barcelona slep late. So we decided to go to La Ramba and we were adventerous enough to take the trains. It was a good adventure and we were desperate for some Indian food. We read about this place called Goa in a guidebook and managed to get there. We were famished by the time we got there and the food was awesome. After than we strolled to the La Ramba. Even close to midnight the street was full of people. We enjoyed the place for a while and a tall glass of Sangria and an hour or so later, we took a train back and hit the sack.
