Well, i'm going to be in Barcelona for probably a week, my car had some windows smashed last night and i'll be here until they're fixed.

Luckily i'm staying at a place 2 streets from the beach.

Barcelona has definately been the most interesting part of the trip so far. I'll write a more, but it's sunny outside and I can see the pool.

So, to continue. I was in Calella for 6 days, went into Barcelona a few times, but mostly just relaxed for a bit (watched some tour de france and MTV, mostly relaxed by the pool). Driving from Nice to Pamplona then back to Barcelona in 2 days with 4 hours sleep really took it out of me.

Added to that the first night in Barcelona, I couldn't get a bed and ended up hanging aroung Mont Juic until midnight then watched the drug dealers in action before deciding to get out of town.
This plan worked well until a cop banged on my window at 2am to check my passport scaring the shit out of me. Then at 4am American Express were nice enough to call me and tell me i owed them $30. I'll get right on that.

Anyway, after the first night i thought i'd head up costa brava for the day and enjoy the beaches. (who needs to find a bed for the night anyway).

All the places i called were booked out, so i decided to try girona, first place i walked into was 120 euro a night. Decided then and there girona was not for me and took of back down the coast to barcelona.
About 30k's out i came accross a string of hotels on the highway right next to the beach. I thought bingo, went in only 49 euro's a night, 9th (top) floor with a balcony, sunbed's, a pool and a very nive veiw over the ocean. AND lockup parking only 10 extra. Scored!

Right up until that is next morning they inform me that my cars been broken into.

Good excuse to stay the week anyway. It was worth it, just to relax and have a real holiday for a bit.

Sitting on the steps in from of the Museum near the Olympic stadium has been my favourites place to chill so far. I'll load some photo's up soon. The staium was great too. It's a bit run down atm, but you really get the feeling looking at the track.

Well the 6th day came, car is ready and so am i.

Off to Tarragona then Valencia.
