So this morning we left carcassone, we had some crossants with nutella for breakfast, it was so good… Im really starting to like crossants which is weird because I never really have even liked them in the past. I want to know why the milk is so weird over here though??? So we made our drive, Missy and I had our last day of back seat to ourselves for the next 8 days so we slept a little bit. We were up until 3 last night having a bath party and missy ended up straightening her hair. When we reached Barcelona we did an “orientation tour” meaning we drove past all of the major sites like the Olympic stadium, the Mediteranian, zoo, segrada familia cathedral… AKA the freakin huge cathedral you always see in pictures of Barcelona. So soccer is HUGE out here.. in all of the souvenir shops that is what they try and sell you, soccer memorabilia. I think of Mike and Cam Crump a lot. In fact there was a game tonight on tv and when we were walking through the city you could tell when there was a good play because you could hear it EVERYWHERE!! It was pretty cool. We took pictures by the Segrada Familia and some Gypsies tried asking Missy for money and she said NO like 8 times it became comical to me and we thought it was funny.. but I guess you had to be there. It is under construction, Im not sure if they are remodeling or maybe part of it fell down at one time and so they are putting it back up.. but there are cranes in my pictures :( and the sun was right at the spires but hey… I was there! We went to our hotel and actually it is very nice I like it a lot. Missy and I walked down to the “best shopping” but I guess the shops that everyone was talking about were closed because it was Sunday because all we saw were the souvenir stores and I don’t think people would rave about coming to Barcelona to shop at the souvenir shops. So we walked up and down the Rumba street there are a lot of people dressed up like knights or Edward scissor hands so you will pay them to get pictures with them it is really quite smart I just wish it was like they didn’t move until you went up to get a picture.. like in vegas or something. Then we got an ice cream cone and eventually found a church that was having a service, we went and sat through some of it so that at least we could have a little bit of church on Sunday. Oh so we saw this completely naked man walking down the middle of the road… he had a speedo tattooed on his body and a bell or something on the end of his… unit? :-/ so when he was walking closer I thought this man was walking down the street with a funny speedo with bells or something then I realized he was completely naked.. a few minutes later 3 policemen with clubs were walking in that direction.. I hear the police aren’t to kind here. We had 10 people join our group. There are 3 couples and then two girls were sisters and one single boy and one single girls showed up. You see our tour group is mostly just couples with only a few youngins like myself so Missy was very excited about this one because she thinks he is cute and he has an Australian accent. (Oh and there are only 6 americans in our group.. the rest are from Australia and New Zealand) We hang out with a girl named Dot quite a bit.. she is so cute. Dinner is served so late here so missy and I decided to master the siesta before dinner. Dinner was interesting, you see when our whole group eats together we can’t order so we just get what we are served.. and so sometimes I need to eat power bars after because it just not for my stomachs liking.. although I do admit and most people would be proud of me and my picky eating I try almost everything.. at least one bite. Then we went and got another ice cream stopped by the bar to say hello to the group and then decided to call it a night. Oh but our room scared me tonight.. when we turned off all of the lights one lamp across the room that was never on before would turn on and off. It scared us so bad we held each others hand in a death grip and seriously just waited.. and it did it. We unplugged it eventually so we will know something is really wrong now if it flashes again!!
