With the Brussels Conrad and London Conrad asides, this must be our next favorite. It was built in 2003 with only 200+ rooms. It's away from the river. Upon checking in, we were escorted to a deluxe corner room on the 18th Fl. It has its own private entryway, a walk-in closet, a sitting area and large marble bathroom with free-standing tub and a glass-enclosed rainshower. Nice touches include nightly turn-down service with chocolate and bottled water, an elephant doll, fluffy slippers and a rubber duck for the tub. Breakfast was included on the 2nd Fl. It turned out to be a buffet that rivals many brunches. It includes stir-fried vegetables, fruits, soba noodles; vegetarian sushi rolls; miso soup; congee w/condiments; pad thai; dim sum; maple-cured ham; waffle; pancakes; cook-to-order eggs; mushrooms; assorted juices, breads and fruits. The hotel is connected to Four Season Place, a retail/office complex similar to Hong Kong's Pacific Place. It's a 10-min walk to the Phloem Chit Skytrain station. There is also a free shuttle bus that runs every 15 mins. The hotel is WiFi equipped, very quiet, and a floor can only be accessed by elevator using room keycard. Concierge was knowledgable in locating and reserving a table for us at a nearby restaurant. No wonder this place makes it to Travel & Leisure & Conde Nast Travelers' top 50 Asian hotels
