Review of Tavee Guest House

This is a lovely guesthouse that some firends told us about and gave us a card for otherwise we never would have found it!

Its on a quite road with two other nice guesthouse - Sri Ayuttaya and Shanti Guest House which are mentionned i8n the lonely planet.

We are paying 500 baht for a double room with attached bathroom and aircon - there are cheaper fan rooms and shared bathrooms available.  The rooms are very nicely decorated and very clean.

There is a restaurant and the food is lovely but expensive - most of the staff are very friendly but the woman who speaks the best english is the most sour faced person we've seen in thailand!  If it wasnt for this we would be recommending the place to everyone but she really brings the place down

Its a great location as its about 15mins walk from Khao San and a short taxi ride to Phaya Thai skytrain, most importantly though there are many street stalls selling all sorts of deliucious food opposite the guesthouse and just round the corner there's a lovely market!
