Had a right relaxing morning, even missed breakfast in the Club lounge which serves til 10:30am!!!!
Still I am on holiday after all.
Wandered down to the spa and relaxation area of the hotel and chill listening to a spoken book on the iPod. First time for everything...
Took a stroll down Silom Road towards the well renowned Pat Pong Road. Before getting mobbed with all the rip-off merchants I dropped into the T Massage & Spa on the corner of Silom and Narathiwat Road. Started with a pedicure and manicure and then decided on a combination foot, Head and Shoulders massage. Two ladies looking after me. Nothing new there!!!! Just to demonstrate not all massages are of the Cuddles variety I attach a photo.
Well 3 hours of pampering makes you feel even better :-) Life is getting better.... But doesnt time fly when you are chilling.
It was tea time already, so after a Sofitel cocktail and a bottle of the 'local' Asahi beer it was back onto the streets of Bangkok for dinner.
Had a good stroll with a crowd of French people staying in the hotel and dragged them back to the Bee Garden Cafe 'The Best Pavement Cafe in Bangkok'
And it didn't disappoint. I decided on the conservation Prawns, Chicken, Sweetcorn, Ginger, Pineapple and Cashew Fried rice with a large bottle of Chang Beer finished off with a plate of fresh fruit. Yes I felt disappointed to be charged 250 baht for the pleasure (68 baht-1 pound)...
We finished the evening with a few cocktails in the V9 bar on the 38 floor of the hotel, stunning views all around Bangkok :-)
