The Banff Alpine Centre is a Superior-rated hostel and was voted by backpackers to be in the 'Top 10' list of 5,000 hostels worldwide!

It offers a mix of two-, four-, and six-bed rooms, along with the option of private rooms, if you catch the early bird specials!! This hostel is the most pleasant budget lodging in Banff. Since we spent 80% of our day outdoors, we didn't have an opportunity to avail some of the excellent features that the hostel offers. Facilities include a recreation room, kitchen, laundry, and lounge with fireplace. Meals are available at the Cougar Pete's Kitchen and Lookout; there's also an on-site pub. Reserve at least a month to two in advance for summer stays.

Again, they have around-the-clock  friendly staff that are themselves very knowledgeable and adventurous in spirit!
