Travelling South

We decided to drive from Brisbane to Sydney and Ballina was our first night stop, Byron Bay was just up the coast, but you need to pre-book inorder to stay there as its popular with surfers!! couldn't stop at the Gold coast as the Indy Car was on and the highways used as the race circuit!!! The hotel overlooked the lake and large groups of waterbirds (pelicans mainly) at sunset the location was dreamy.
