Turkey, Cyprus, Anceint, Modern, and an Attempt at Synthesis
In and around Turkey
I, Chris Minich, with 23 other students and Dr. Goebel, Mr. Ali, and Dr. Moore traveled through parts of Turkey and Cyprus in order to experience cultures, ancient and modern, and to attempt to synthesize these experiences into cogent thoughts on culture, religion, geography, archeological ethics, and archeology.
All that is not to say that we did not have a fun time laughing with each other, having good conversations, going to the beach a few days, swimming in the Mediteranean, or climbing hills and cliffs.
Through the academic and the social, the banal and the profound, we learned about humanity by examining the culture it produces.
This is my blog, talking about a few of the experiences we had and how each impacted me.
