In and around South Africa
Just ten days ago Denny and I came across a 2-for-1 for flights to South Africa. Since I have a high school buddy, Carlene, living in Mosselbaai, and it is VERY, VERY cold here in Jackson Hole this winter, we looked into it and WOW! here we go! (Monday, Feb. 5th!) I am thinking that having less than two weeks to prepare has some real advantages (and a few disadvantages)! We'll be 5 weeks there...Carlene will pick us up in Cape Town and show us around that city for a few days before we head up the coastline along the Garden Route to her home in Mosselbaai. We'll use her home as a base for the next three weeks. She has a zillion recommendations for things to do, places to go, animals to see, etc. We'll fly back to Johannesburg March 6 and spend the last week in Kruger National Park, driving it like we would Yellowstone. I'll have a digital camera with me this year so I hope to be able to download immediately and have the pictures uploaded with our journal once or twice a week. So put us on your toolbar and check in now and again. Take care, our friends! Love, Denny & Sally
