Once upon a time, Naidan, Deanne, Jeremy, Lori, Naho, and William planned a little backcountry canoeing adventure. Things did not go exactly as planned - and sometimes that's a good thing.
If you like stories about: heroic adventures, vicious animals, natural disasters, personal conflict, heart-rending loss, prolonged hunger and other sorts of deprivation and mayhem that challenge the limits of human endurance, then this is not the travel adventure for you. (But I like those stories too, so if you find a good one, let me know). On the other hand, if you want to hear about a pleasant camping excursion, then read on.

As it happens, I can promise you some looming cliffs, terrifying thunderstorms, snapped anchoring lines, exhausting hikes, treacherous footing, long and slithery leeches, and I will even toss in some howling wolves and an eerie moon for effect. But the context won't be as exciting as you might imagine. Instead, think: fun, friendly and fairly relaxing. Oh, and you'll find lots of pictures, too.
