European Tour 2007
In and around Europe
European Tour II
Poland - Czech Republic - Austria - Slovenia - Croatia - Bosnia - Montenegro
This trip was initially meant to arc eastwards starting in Warsaw and ending in Split, Croatia and visiting such countries as Belarus, Urkaine, Moldova and Serbia. Unfortunately, time was not on our side and due to the infrastructure (or lack of it) in these countries it would mean being on a train for nearly a third of the time away and that would of equated to 1 week of solid traveling...not on my watch!
Rhys was along for this one and it was he who objected the most to the far eastern antics and that was music to my ears beacause had we not of done that, the 2nd race would of been won and more importantly I would of been there to witness it happen which is exactly what Rhys would of wanted.
Instead of arcing eastwards we decided to arc westwards keeping the entry and exit points of Warsaw and Split. This trip was quickly coined 'The Trip To Fill In The Gaps' and with good reason as we would be re-visiting 5 countries that had previously been visited. There were new ones for each of us and Poland and Bosnia had been done by Rhys and myself respectively and it would be only Montenegro that would be completely new to the pair of us.
