A trip to home(Calcutta) during the Pujas

This might sound to you as a typical homecoming trip from the headline, but what I really want to talk about is the way the Durga Puja moulds the entire city of Calcutta in October and gets it into it's festive mood. It's something similar to the Mardi Gras or the Tomatinas or the Oktoberfests of the world. For all those who are unaware of this typical and traditional Bengali festival, I hope my blog entry helps you out and urges you to visit my beautiful city.
