After our day in Salzburg we were happy to wake up to a chilly, but not rainy free day in Munichthis was the second day of Oktoberfest, and we had already been told by people that had gone the day before instead of going to Salzburg, that you had to get there early if you wanted to get a table in any of the tents I think Oktoberfest needs a little explanation herebefore I went I thought it would be this big event held in a Field with some white canvas tents and some signs for different beer housesboy was I wrong!!! You arrived on a street that is used for nothing else for the other 348 days of the yeareach side of the street is lined with airplane hanger size buildings that are the tentsthere are carnival rides, souvenir stands, games to be played, food to be eaten etc. all over the place!!! We headed to the Hofbraugh House tent, and joined all the other Gonzaga students insideCole Mercer, my friend from high school, had gotten there early with a bunch of his friends and scored one of the tables right in front of the bandstand, there were also about 3 other longer tables in the same vicinity that were filled with Gonzaga students. The place was not packed yet, and there was definitely no need to arrive at 8:30 in the morning as we hadbut we had a great day there and lots of fun watching all the action and meeting people from around the world, there happened to be a lot of Australians, New Zelanders and Americans in this tent
