Spending six days at sea in a Russian ice-strengthened ship is not everyone's idea of a good time. Yet the rewards are there when you finally get to the continent. This is a story from one of my most memorable experiences in Antarctica, visiting Mawson's Hut, one of the last remaining sites of the Heroic Age of polar exploration.
