Central America Backpacking
In and around Central America / Caribbean
In May 2008 I graduated college from the University of San Diego. In June I found a job via craigslist in Nicaragua and decided that I hadn't seen enough of the world to justify getting a desk job and an apartment and a dog.
I left the states October 29th with a one way ticket and a thirst to see what was out there. I wanted to surf, practice my spanish, make friends and have some genuine experiences to reflect on.
The trip is a minimum of 2 months. I had originally set that benchmark because I felt that anything less would be selling myself short and not allowing myself enough time to acclimate and actually experience central america. Now reflecting on it, I could see this taking MUCH, MUCH, longer.
Enjoy!
