After another 28 hours on buses, including an hour or so delay in the pitch black where lack of information lead us to conclude the cause was...a rock slide, power outage, flood, or bandits stealing our baggage, we finally made it to Tulum for approximately a week of what we hoped would be relaxation on the amazing expanse of snow-white sand and royal-turquoise water in preparation for seeing my parents after 6 1/2 months away from home.
