My journey

In and around India

Well, I leave for India tomorrow!  I just finished a delicious early Thanksgiving dinner with friends and family.  I feel thankful, excited, sentimental, a little sad, and a little in shock.  I am excited to journal throughout my trip with this blog and be able to share my journey with those of you interested at home.  It will mean a lot to me to know you are reading some of my experiences, imagining where I am, and sending emails, support, love and energy my way.  Thank you in advance for that!

This trip has been forming as a dream since I started to practice yoga in 1999.  My practice has become very important to me and the more I have practiced and learned, the more I desire to know about the roots, philosophy, and way of life of yoga, and Indian culture and tradition.  I feel like it is a vocation and calling for me to truly learn more about the healing potential of yoga.  Also, as my practice has connected me with my own body, heart and spirit, I want to further explore my connection with spirt and higher energy beyond my self.  Anyway, I have a lot to do, see, feel, and explore in India!  I don't mean to have too many hopes and expectations. I go with an open heart and mind, what is meant to occur will occur, both the wonderful and the challenging.   I think I certainly have an interesting adventure in store for me!
