I know a US citizen can go into Mexico without a passport. If you want to make a day hike from Mexico to Guatemala do you have to have your passport? Is it easy to cross from Tapachula Mexico into Guatemala. Looking for a little adventure. Thanks for the input.

Hi I am not a US citizen so I don't know how that all works. I'm a NZer. Because of that, I could only enter Mexico on a 90-day tourist visa, and I had been in Mexico for close to 90 days at that time. So I had to cross the boarder so I coudl re-enter Mexico and get another 90-day visa. Always looking for adventure! Travel rocks :)
