Winter Sonata
In and around Asia
16th March 2007 - went to Seoul, Korea on this day. It was the end of winter at that time, so the temperature is not that cold. Averagely, the temperature is about 10 Deg. C - still bearable by me.
In Korea, our Malaysian standard cellphone cant be used. So, upon arrival at the airport, one will have to rent a Korean mobile phone. The rate is quite cheap....only a few RM per day. I've been told that a 3G Malaysian phone works well there. However, for a prepaid line like mine, I wont be able to make any call out even though my credit is still a lot.
I first went to the Gangnam District of Seoul, South Korea. I came to know that this is the place for the higher standard of people. You cant afford to buy anything here - everything are very, very pricy here.
Stayed in COEX Intercontinental Hotel - a 5-star luxury hotel. This hotel is adjacent and linked to the World Trade Center, Coex Convention and Exhibition Center, the City Air Terminal and South Korea's largest shopping complex, the COEX Mall
Didnt really got the chance to visit this country as I was only there for 4 days. However, still enough time to clear my purse !!
