We're travelling with friends, and tacking on our own additional stuff. It's in two phases:

  1. The UAE (Dubai, Bahrain, and Qatar), where we hopefully will be safe and entertained
  2. Islands off the East coast of Africa, for diving and culture

We're not dead yet

I'm considering a temporary job in Saudi Arabia and would like to know travel time and distance to Europe; approximately.

The Gulf region is 5-7 hrs. from Europe cities. Depending on where you are based, and its connections, you might need another ~hour to connect through Dubai or Bahrain.
