Life in Bahrain
In and around Manama, Bahrain
Arrived here in the Kingdom of Bahrain on the 20th of February 2008. I can still remember it was a chilly night & there was a sandstorm covering the city. It took me quite some time before I was able to exit immigration coz there was a mix-up with my baggage. They made a mistake of tagging it's destination to Manila. Luckily, I was able to inform the personnel handling the baggage about my predicament and they were able to off-load my baggage in before the aircraft left for Manila. I was greeted outside by the hotel driver holding up my name in the arrival section. I forgot his name but remembered he was from Nepal. He drove across town to the hotel where I signed some papers in front desk before giving me my card key.
