I am consulting fo EURAid in South Sinai, mostly around Sharm El Sheikh, to improve the sustainability of tourism in this region. My role is to prepare a training programme for the tourism workforce to promote sustainable behaviour. Easier said than done. In this blog I reflect on the difficulties as well as opportunities to improve practices, and I seek comments from fellow travellers to the region on the appropriateness of some of my ideas and the sense behind my observations of the place
