Nicaragua
In and around Nicaragua

Well, we have survived the border crossing and are know in San Jan del Sur, a small town on the west Pacific cost of Nigaragua. Me and Jackie are more relieved that anything to have finally gotten here. The morning was pretty rough and for the first time I was a little scared and out of my element. We caught a bus a 6:30am and travelled to Liberia, where we had to switch buses and travel across the border and customs to Nicaragua. Everything was fine, until the bus driver thought I was cute and took a liking to me. According to him it was alright if me and Jackie continued north until Manuaga. "We could stay at his house". Really creepy and unsettling. We jumped off the bus at the next stop and flagged down a taxi to take us the rest of the way. $20 dollars US for a 40 minute cab ride was worth it. We arrived, a little discusted, and shoken up. Definitely have never experienced anything like it. On the upside San Jan del Sur is beautiful. Really quiet, lots of tourists and sandy beaches. We feel safe here, so no need to worry about us crazy chicks who like to do stupid things.
Love you all.
