Cycling the Black Forest to the Black Sea

In and around Europe

After at least a year of vague yammering about our possible intent to at some point maybe try to get things together to do a year-long bicycle trip, we are now at the dawn of the reality. Our initial plan includes part of Europe, as well as Argentina and Chile. The rest is yet to be determined. Wherever we go, though, we know we'll have sore butts, smelly clothes and helmet hair - but still we hope to find new and wonderful landscapes, food, and friends along the way.

Yes, you now have one more Internet diversion to fill those long and lonely hours at work. We hope you'll check in from time to time and see how we are doing out here, and we'll definitely be looking forward to hearing from you all as well.

So here we go ...
