My deam to trek in Mount Kinabalu 基纳巴卢山

In and around Sabah, Malaysia

I've waited for so many years to trek this mountain, when my first time heard there is this place call Mount Kinabalu, I wonder how's the place look like.

It was my first trek to Nepel; I meet a group of friends (4 people) coming from the same country as me and happen to be in the same trek package. As we spent our time trekking together, she was sharing with us about Mount Kinabalu is more difficult than Nepal.

After the Nepal trek (more than 10 years ago) I've been searching information about Mount Kinabalu but there was not much information on the website back then.

As many years had got by, I happen to be on one of the TV program showing all the trekkers all over the world were running up to the Mount Kinabalu, keeping the world's faster record to trek up to Mount Kinabalu, I was so excited when I was watching the TV program showing. If I didn't remember wrongly, the world's record was 2 hours more to trek up and down the Mount Kinabalu. I'm talking about running up to the “Lower Peak” top (4095 M) and run back down, this is no joke.

Finally, I started to approach friends that share the same interest but they were not able to make it for one another timing. I didn't stop there hoping, I believe, one fine day, I'm able to be at the peak too.

If you share the same experience like how I've been waiting, don't give up; it is worth to trek in Mount Kinabalu.

I've finally make it to the top of Mount Kinabalu (even with my break down kneecap), my dream came true. You can also make your way up!
