Bean Town on the Fly

In and around United States

Grandma opened her big mouth last year and promised Dallas a trip to Fenway Park to see his favorite team the Red Sox. Of course this was before Ralph and I planned to go to Europe this year. So we have to squeeze Boston in between Dallas' last day of school (June 9) and our departure for London (July 12).

The kids are coming for Father's Day, Dallas and I (REB chose to stay home) leave for Boston July 19, the game is July 20 (against the Washington ) and we return July 23. Whew!

I'm planning the Duck Tour, USS Constitution (Old Ironsides) and the Freedom Walk. Do you have any other suggestions for a weary old lady and a ten-year-old?

I hope you had a great time in Boston for your visit. Union Oyster House is the place I bring all out of town guests. I noticed on your blog that you have a favorite called eekhoff family. I happen to be looking for any eekhoff's that might have lived in the massachusetts area approx. 46- 50 years ago. Trying to anyone who could be related to my son. thanks for your help. Another great place to eat in boston is bay tower room; you see the custom tower clock and it's provides a great view of the city on a clear day.
