George & Karen's Eastern Seaboard in Eight Weeks ( April 18 - June 16) 2008
In and around United States
During the spring 2008, my husband and I went on an eight week camping trip starting from western Rhode Island and traveling down the east coast of the United States to Florida and back. We have traveled and camped all over the United States before we had children, with our children and now as a retired couple. Love camping and staying in COE, county, state, national parks and national forests as much as we can (even though unfortunately many states are pricing their state parks higher than the private campgrounds and local motels, therefore forcing visitors from out of state to camp elsewhere or look at other options). We looked forward to a relaxing time since this was our first trip over three weeks without any of our children who are now all in their twenties and living on their own. That cell phone still kept them in contact with us though almost every day. Ha!
We plan on keeping this travel blog up to date but it will depend when we have internet access - so come back often. More pictures will also be added after we get home. Enjoy!
