Italy '06

In and around Italy

Ok Italy '06 lets explain....we had a talk at school from someone who had cycled around Russia which was meant to motivate us to work for our exams. But as we never follow the obvious we came out of it thinking lets cycle somwhere! So here it is, one year down the line and we are off to Italy for just under 5 weeks packed with cycling, ice cream, pizza and friends. Lets just hope we remember how to deal with punctures...

Just read your first entry from Milan - wonderful stuff, keep it coming! Some questions you didn't answer were why you went to that particular hotel and whose idea it was to share a room with Susan - yours, hers or the hotel's? And could the saddle have fallen out of the box through the hole or do you think it was left behind in England? Answers keenly awaited!
Jo and Lizzy avatar Jo and Lizzy on Jul. 1, 2006 @ 06:42PM said
hey abby and jane, hope the saddle situation has been sorted out! really sorry to add to your list of problems, but we have a minor crisis!! stupidly, we assumed that we would be in siena the same days as you, but alas... not! we're gonna be there from 26th for 2 nights, as opposed to 27th for 2 nights. we tried calling the hotel, but there were slight language difficulties, so nothing got sorted. have you paid for the whole stay there, or just the deposit? we may need to cancel the booking for us, so let us know asap - we'll pay anything that you stand to lose if there's a problem. we're gonna try and change the dates with the hotel by email, so we'll let you know how that goes. enjoy the sunshine and the icecream xxxx
