Benicassim

About a year ago we heard about this music festival in Spain next to the beach. Ever since then Alison has been on my case to try to get me to go. I wasn’t very keen until I saw that we probably wont make it to any UK festivals. In a lot of ways I’m glad we didn’t.

The festival has been going for about 8 years, but it seems to be getting very popular now. Big business has moved in (in the shape of Heineken) which raised the cost of booze significantly (6 euros for a pint! That’s damn pricey even in London).

It was probably the most relaxing holiday I’ve had in years. One forgets how nice it is to be able to actually swim in the sea for longer than 30 seconds (had to get used to this during my time in Cape Town). In a nutshell we partied all night and slept all day on the beach recovering, with a couple of day trips here and there when we had the energy.
