Rapa Nui

Well, after an uneventful few days in Tahiti where I got the worst sunburn of my life I arrived in Easter Island, Rapa Nui, and here i will plant myself for a while.  In fact If i didn`t have obligations at home I would stay here.

When I was seven i read abook about the great mysteries of the world and this one fascinated me the most, so much that I promised myself that I would see it for myself one day.  It has not been disapointing.  I have been and continue to be overwhelmed by the unspoiled beauty of this island that is called by the natives, "The navel of the world."

Since the first day I have been trekking all over the island with my guide, exploring ocean and inland caves, climbing to the tops of dormant volcanos, meeting wonderful people, drinking chilean wines and eating the freshest fish in the world.
