Medical Journey to Mumbai, India July 2007
In and around India
I heading to the other side of the world (literally) on a medical journey to Mumbai (Bombay), India for the month of July with my lab buddy Kate Kelly (she likes the diseases and I like the babies, match made in heaven!)
It is a service-learning program with doctors in rural and urban hospitals to check out some tropical infectious diseases (ew gross). Good thing I like the rain because July is monsoon season! We will learn about the health care challenges facing the coastal and tropical area, while experiencing a totally new culture where they wear lots of bracelets like me! This program is to broaden my international health knowledge and help me develop creative problem solving with limited resources. Crazy, right?
I don't even know what is in store...so stay tuned!
