The Red Square

In and around Russia

This is my first visit to the Red Square with my boyfriend. We exited a shopping mall, & he lead me with my eyes closed to the center of Moscow.. a red, 5-pointed star on the cobbled street (just outside the RS). Apparently it's some customary to toss coins when you stand on it. Every road/step in Moscow supposedly begins from here. We walked further East and entered the Red Square proper. You'll find GUM (famous & expensive shopping mall), some churches, St. Basil's Cathedral, Lenin's resting place, and beyond the walls of the RS is the Kremlin.. kinda felt all chilly. (just after winter) Spent limited time here; hoping to come back here again :)
