Southbound in South America: Cycling Mendoza to Ushuaia

In and around South America

We finally made it to South America, a continent on which neither of us had ever set foot before this trip.  Our bicycle journey begins in Mendoza in Argentina´s wine region.  From there, we plan to cycle west across the Andes with our friends Chris & Annalee, then continue south to end eventually in Ushuaia, the world´s southern-most city.  Along the way, we´ll see the famed Lake Districts of Argentina and Chile, many national parks, at least one glacier, and what is reputed to be some of the most beautiful natural scenery in the world.
