In October 2006 my husband and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary in Tulum, Mexico. We stayed at Dreams Tulum for 6 nights, but our best days were spent outside the resort with a local cabbie. Tulum is rich in Mayan history, with ruins galore in the jungles and overlooking the ocean. And most notably, it was HOT.
