Worldwide "Sampler" Trip
In and around World
It's 1:00am on the eve of my impending worldwide journey and I am writing my first travel blog---HOW EXCITING! As many of you know, I am about to embark on a 3-month, 12 country "sampler" tour of the world. I write "sampler" since I know this is only the beginning of MANY, MANY future treks (when I will someday re-visit my favorite places and visit destinations I've missed along the way.)
For those of you who need a quick refresher, I will be traveling to the following countries: Hong Kong, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, India, Turkey, Greece, Italy, France, Spain, Argentina and Chile. I will be starting my journey with relatives, but shortly after, I will begin my solo sojourn with a 28-pound pack strapped to my back.
These next 3 months will be marked by intense spiritual enlightenment, ongoing introspection and cultural immersion - I can't wait to experience life the way it was meant to be experienced.
With that said, I feel the following quote best encapsulates why I've decided to make the world my playground over the next few months: "Go confidently in the direction of your dreams; Live the life you have always imagined."--Thoreau
I can't wait to share my thoughts, experiences and potential epiphanies with each and every one of you.
Signing off for now---Myra
