Perth
In and around Australia
Perth…my new home for the next few months, apparently the ‘sunniest state capital in Australia!’ I am not entirely sure I have arrived at the correct time…winter! Since I have arrived I have invested in several jumpers and after 4 months of constant use I have not worn my thongs (sorry flip flops – look at me already an Aussie) once!
It was great to see familiar faces at the airport and I am thoroughly enjoying living with Holly and my new flatmates. Alice and Coralie are a lot of fun and although I feel very old, (they are only 20) they are making sure I relive my student days!
The past month has been a mixture of finding work and seeing some of WA in small bursts. I am currently working as a nanny and loving every second. It seems crazy, but I was ready for a reality check and I am enjoying having some responsibility other than finding somewhere to sleep and making sure I have put on enough suntan lotion! Over the next month or so I am going to try my hardest to keep up to date with my blog and fill you in on my news.
Make sure you enjoy the summer and take a moment to think of me – I am dealing with the frequent thunder storms and wrapping up very warm in sunny Perth!!
Love to you all x
