Madeira - the floating garden

This was my first trip to this island. For the British it is known for its luxury hotels and when I found an inexpensive studio I decided it was time I visited the island. I went in January (part of the reason accomodation was cheaper) and had been warned that the weather could be cold. I was lucky .. although it did rain it was neve really cold and there were some lovely days,
