Into China with Ron and Don

In and around China

Ron (Thing 2) has joined me in Bangkok to start the third leg of this Asia extravaganza. Don, Ron's brother-in-law, fresh off 6 weeks hiking in New Zealand, has joined us as well to make the trek into China. We will go overland through northern Thailand and Laos before heading into the southern Yunnan province of China. We will emphasize the outdoors, hiking, local beer sampling, and extreme spice avoidance. We are vigourously studying our Mandarin phrasebook but haven't gotten past the first page.
