Los Angeles, California was the first stop on our year long worldly adventure. It was just a layover on the way across the Pacific, but we decided to spend a few days checking out the sites.
I'll say this about LA. It's huge. Wait, huge doesn't describe it...monstrous. I remember briefly meeting a guy in New Zealand who said he was from California. I told him, "Oh, we spent a few days in LA on our way over here." He replied, "LA is not California...it's a country of it's own".
